POG Speaker SeriesThe district is hosting a Portrait of a Graduate Speaker Series with the first event scheduled for Nov. 13.

The Speaker Series is designed to engage parents in the traits identified in our Portrait of a Graduate: Creative and Critical Thinker, Self Aware, Persistent, Communicator and Ethical & Global Citizen.

The first event in the Speaker Series focuses on the Communicator trait. Parents will learn about the apps their children are using from Julie Smith, an Instructor of Media Communications and Digital Literacy at Webster University, and Mehlville High School leadership students.

The event is on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in the Oakville Middle School gym. MHS leadership students will speak with parents from 6:30-7 p.m., and Smith will follow.

This event is being hosted in partnership with St. Louis County Police Department.
