Jewelry Creations | Summer Camp | 
Grades K-5

Campers learn all about jewelry-making and design with techniques such as shrink art, crimping, beadwork, wire-wrapping, clay and metal-stamping! Mrs. Lyons shows students how to find inspiration in nature, pop culture and the world around us. Our young artists will bring home several unique creations each day of camp. They can keep their pieces or gift to friends and family. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

Summer Community Band| Ages 13-Adult | $30

The Mehlville/Oakville Community Band consists of community members, staff, current students (13 years and older) and alumni! Some experience preferred in the following instruments: bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, French horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet or tuba.

The band will meet on select Tuesdays and Fridays for rehearsals at Nottelmann Auditorium: June 28, July 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30 from 7-9 p.m.

Concert: Friday, August 2 at 7 p.m.

Driver's Education | Ages 15+ | Summer Session

We have three sessions of Driver's Education in the summer. Summer classes meet for two (2) weeks, Monday through Friday, from 8-11 a.m. Some after-class driving will be required; instructors will provide students with a schedule after the session begins. Please note that transportation to and from class is not provided by the district. All classes will take place on the Mehlville High School campus in the Witzel Learning Center (through Door 5).

Driver's Education through the Mehlville School District adheres to the requirements set forth by the State of Missouri including: classroom time, 12 hours of simulated driving, 12 hours of observation, and 3 hours of behind-the-wheel driving. Students MUST be able to attend all classes per session. There is no availability for make-up classes. Students who do not complete all required hours will not receive certification; also note that there is no refund for failure to receive certification. It is strongly recommended that students obtain their Missouri driving permit prior to the start of class.

10 classes | 6-8 p.m.

This class is for individuals interested in learning the Bosnian language and culture of the region. No previous knowledge is required for the beginner class. Basic everyday expressions and simple conversational phrases will be taught in addition to letters, numbers, colors, food and animals.

This course is ideal for spouses, educators, law enforcement personnel, health professionals, business owners, realtors and neighbors in our community!

Spring Community Beginner and Intermediate Band

Tuesdays, March 26-May 21 | Washington Middle School
Ages 12-112 | $109
Spring Concert Performance: Monday, November 27 at 7 p.m.

Beginner Band | 6:45-7:30 p.m.
This course is for students with little-to-no musical experience. You will learn to play a new instrument. Choose from the following instruments: clarinet, flute, French horn, saxophone, trombone or trumpet. Students must provide their own instrument and texts.

Intermediate Band | 6-6:45 p.m.
This class is for students with at least one year of musical experience who would like the structure of practicing weekly with a group of musicians at a similar level. Students must provide their own instrument and texts.

On Wednesday, May 22, the Community Intermediate Band will perform in the Spring Concert at Nottelmann Auditorium at 7 p.m. Students are responsible to rent or purchase an instrument.
