District offering free breakfast and lunch through the end of the 2020-2021 school year
Mehlville School District has received a waiver from the USDA that allows our School Food and Nutrition Services staff to serve free meals to all children 1-18 yrs. through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

When students arrive at school, they can pick up free breakfast from a staff member at a breakfast cart. They will take breakfast with them to their classroom where they will eat before class begins.

Several safeguards are in place to protect students from the spread of COVID-19 while at lunch. Teachers are having students wash their hands prior to coming to the cafeteria. Our SFNS staff are wearing masks, washing their hands frequently and sanitizing surfaces often. Additionally, items are being individually wrapped and prepackaged, and students are sitting in assigned areas of the cafeteria and spaced out as much as possible to allow for social distancing.

Changes to Grab-and-Go meal distribution beginning Nov. 16, 2020

There are changes to locations for free Grab-and-Go meal distribution beginning Monday, Nov. 16, when high school students transition to Plan C: Connected, our virtual learning plan.

On Mondays, meals will be distributed at all district schools from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

On Tuesdays through Fridays, meals will be distributed only at Mehlville High School (3200 Lemay Ferry Road) and Oakville High School (5557 Milburn Road) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students receive a meal for that day, as well as a breakfast for the following morning.
