Learn to Swim | Ages 3-5 and 6-12+
Enroll your child in swim lessons. Children will learn about water safety, build their confidence in the water and practice swimming strokes. Space is limited. Classes run for 50 minutes. Choose from weekday morning or weekday evening classes. In May and June 2024, aquatics and swimming programs are held at the Affton High School pool, 8309 Mackenzie Road.

Coached Lap Swim | *Try-out required
Summer Session | June 4 - July 12

A try-out is required for Coached Lap Swim. Students should be able to swim 100 yards of freestyle with breathing, 100 yards of backstroke and 100 yards of breaststroke and knowledge of butterfly. If you are unsure, please call 314-467-5137 for an evaluation.

Adult Water Exercise | 9-10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in June

Sign up for Adult Water Exercise, once or twice a week, and choose from either Swimnastics or Deep Water Fitness on Saturdays or Aqua Jogging and Water Dance on Sundays. Discounts are available for Mehlville School District staff and 60plus Gold Card members.

Swimnastics: This class is for adults who would like a great workout with low stress on the body in the shallow end of the pool. (ages 18 and older)

Deep Water Fitness: Held in the deep end of the pool, participants use a noodle for a moderate water workout! Must be able to swim in the deep end without the use of a flotation aid. (ages 18 and older)

Aqua Jogging: Held in the deep end of the pool, participants use a belt and tether to mimic the motions of running without the impact and strain! Must be able to swim in the deep end without the use of a flotation aid. (ages 18 and older)

Water Dance: Jump in the shallow end and dance the night away! This is a high-energy dance workout in the pool. Adults and children (ages 12 and older) are welcome if they are 4' or taller and can stand in the shallow end without assistance.
