Jewelry Creations | Summer Camp | 
Grades K-5

Campers learn all about jewelry-making and design with techniques such as shrink art, crimping, beadwork, wire-wrapping, clay and metal-stamping! Mrs. Lyons shows students how to find inspiration in nature, pop culture and the world around us. Our young artists will bring home several unique creations each day of camp. They can keep their pieces or gift to friends and family. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

Driver's Education | Ages 15+ | Summer Session

We have three sessions of Driver's Education in the summer. Summer classes meet for two (2) weeks, Monday through Friday, from 3:30-6 p.m. Some after-class driving will be required; instructors will provide students with a schedule after the session begins. Please note that transportation to and from class is not provided by the district. All classes will take place on the Mehlville High School campus in the Witzel Learning Center (through Door 5).

Driver's Education through the Mehlville School District adheres to the requirements set forth by the State of Missouri including: classroom time, 12 hours of simulated driving, 12 hours of observation, and 3 hours of behind-the-wheel driving. Students MUST be able to attend all classes per session. There is no availability for make-up classes. Students who do not complete all required hours will not receive certification; also note that there is no refund for failure to receive certification. It is strongly recommended that students obtain their Missouri driving permit prior to the start of class.

Hapkido Korean-Style Karate | Ages 6-106

Teachers Mr. Kenny and Dr. Franzi of the Hoshin Sol Academy will guide martial arts students through "the art of coordinated movement" otherwise known as Hapkido. Students will learn self-discipline, character, maturity and respect for others, while learning counter-offensive and self-defense applications.


Hapkido classes will be offered this summer at Oakville High School. Choose one night a week or both! See registration website to sign up.

Learn to Swim | Summer | Ages 3-5 and 6-12+

Enroll your child in swim lessons at the Affton High School pool. Children will learn about water safety, build their confidence and practice swimming strokes. Space is limited. Classes run for 50 minutes. The Affton High School pool is located at 8309 Mackenzie Road, Saint Louis, MO 63123.

Summer Community Band | Ages 13-Adult | $30

The Mehlville/Oakville Community Band consists of community members, staff, current students (13 years and older) and alumni! Some experience preferred in the following instruments: bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, French horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet or tuba.

The band will meet on select Tuesdays and Fridays for rehearsals at Nottelmann Auditorium: June 28, July 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30 from 7-9 p.m.

Concert: Friday, August 2 at 7 p.m.

Drum Set Crash Course | June 10-13
- Teen Class, 5-6:15 p.m. (ages 12-17)
 This course will help you learn the key point techniques to elevate your drum set playing. 
*Students will need a pair of sticks, notebook with pencil, "The Drum Set Crash Course Book" by Russ Miller and a folder for extra music.

Rudimental Rumble | June 17-20 or June 24-27
- Ages 14-20, 5-8 p.m.
Advance your drumming skills to be ready for marching band or any other performance situation. *Students will need marching sticks, practice pad (no Remo Tunable pads), notebook with plastic protection sheets and "The Next Level" book by Jeff Queen.
