SCOPE/SSLCMS is an alternative computerized program that serves students
who have been suspended 15 – 180 days, expelled, students who are not
meeting success in their regular educational program, students who are
deficient of credit, or students who have met the requirements for the
Missouri Option program.
These students are taught by content area certified teachers with hands
on activities to supplement materials that are presented to them via the
computer. There are three Special Education Teachers to address students
who are receiving services through an IEP or a 504 plan.
If these students are successful in completing the program, they will have the opportunity to (1) return to their respective school, (2) seek employment opportunities, (3) enroll into the military, or (4) receive a high school diploma from their respective school.
PARENTS IN CONTROL (PIC) MEETINGS
Parent meetings are an important part of the program and provide ongoing communication between parents, students, community, and staff. These meetings are needed for your child to be successful in all of the programs. All parents are to attend the second Friday and the fourth Friday of each month with their child. The “PIC” meeting schedule is listed on the back of each newsletter, which is mailed monthly.
